At Goodwill, we believe every person has value and deserves the opportunity to shape their own future. That belief is why we created Empowerment Works, a program that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through vocational opportunities, lifelong learning, and community engagement.
In a safe and supportive environment, participants build real-world skills, form friendships, and grow more independent. Each person receives individualized support based on their strengths, interests, and goals. Families can feel confident knowing their loved one is respected, included, and encouraged to take meaningful steps toward employment, connection, and a fuller life.

Eligibility

You or your loved one may be a great fit for Empowerment Works if:

  • You are 18 or older

  • You have a documented intellectual or developmental disability
  • You can participate safely in group activities
  • You want to try new programs, learn, and build friendships

  • Hours: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

  • Flexible: Choose full-time or part-time attendance, based on what’s best
