Pathways to Placement

Pathways to Placement is a new partnership between Workforce Dallas and Goodwill Dallas, dedicated to connecting Dallas job seekers with upskilling and direct job placement opportunities. We recently launched our first joint initiative: the Medical Assistant (CCMA) Training Program, where we deliver hands-on experience, certification prep, and personalized support in partnership with Texas Woman’s University – all at no cost.

Who Can Apply

Are you 18 or older and living in North Texas? We welcome adults who are ready to overcome challenges and start a new chapter, no matter their background. We’re here to support you on your path to a better future.

Steps to Join

  • Visit Us: Walk-ins welcome Monday-Thursday between 7:30-11:30 and 12:00-4:00.
  • Meet Us: Attend an intake session and fill out a short form.

  • Get a Plan: Your new coach will help you set your goals.

What to Bring to Your Intake Session

  • Valid government-issued ID*
  • Social Security card*
  • Proof of active phone and email address
  • Resume (optional – don’t worry if you don’t have one!)

* Must bring actual identify cards; photocopies will not be accepted

We serve adults 18 and older in Dallas County, Collin County, and surrounding areas. We focus on helping those who have experienced barriers to employment and are ready to invest in next steps to employment.

Yes! Our programs are open to everyone 18 and older, regardless of educational background.

We connect participants with a variety of roles in industries like retail, logistics, administration, healthcare, and technology, depending on your skills and interests.
The length of the program depends on your goals and the training you choose. Some participants complete training in a few weeks, while others take longer.
No prior work experience is necessary. Our programs are designed to help you build the skills and confidence you need to succeed.
We understand that life can be complicated. Our Career Services office has referral resources to guide you on access to childcare, housing, transportation, and other needs.
Yes, you are welcome to reapply if you need to pause and return later. We’re here to support you whenever you’re ready.
We recommend dressing in business casual attire for interviews and training sessions. If you need assistance with professional clothing, we can help.
Yes. We work with employers who believe in second chances. We also provide resources to help you get a fresh start.
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. We are closed for lunch from 11:30 AM-12:00 PM every day.
We do not provide rides directly, but we are accessible via public transportation. Check out the DART Red Line schedule to the Westmoreland Station.
